Good-Bye Fall & Hello Winter 2018!
It was a quick fun fall season with lots of great classes. There were many new students learning new techniques. Lots of changes happening this fall at Country Treasures.
Our business manager, James Adams, is moving from Chester, Vermont to Italy! We will miss Jim very much and wish him much success in his new endeavors. Jim became a very talented quilter during his employment here. No pattern was too difficult. He thrived on challenges!!
Heather Allen has taken over his position and is doing an excellent job at transitioning over into the office area. Good luck to Heather in her new role.
Carolyn will be welcoming her first grandchild into her family in early January. She has decided to take a break from the classroom for awhile so she can spend some time in her new role of grandmother. Carolyn will still devote her time to long arming and keeping the shop up to date with new notions, books and patterns. New rulers from Quilters Select are in stock. A must have! These rulers have a unique non-slip coating, easy to read lines for measuring as well as multiple angles. You never loose your place or have to count backwards.
Sue has been rearranging the store with Laurie. You can now find our Flannel area downstairs in the front room.
Important Notice: During the last several class sessions we have had
a number of quilters calling the day before a class is scheduled to sign up
for the class. These quilters were disappointed to learn that the class has
been cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Please be aware that our policy is to hold classes with a minimum of
six students. Therefore about two weeks before a class we are forced to
make the decision whether to hold or cancel the class. If you are interested
in a class please sign up early.

If you don’t want to sew alone at home, come join the group to work on a Quilt of Valor. There is nothing I like better than working on Quilts of Valor. It is such a good feeling knowing that one of our Vermont Veteran recipients will cherish the quilt. We need quilters to cut fabric, iron, sew, bind and /or attach labels. Bring your own fabric or work on one of the many kits I will have ready. All quilts made will be donated to veterans from Vermont. I appreciate any and all help! Please sign up in advance to ensure everyone has a seat! All quilters are welcome, beginner to advanced.
